Desert safari transport for guests staying in Deira
Deira is the older commercial heart of Dubai on the northern side of the Creek, with hotels along the Corniche, Al Rigga and Baniyas Road, close to the Gold Souk and Spice Souk. It is a common choice for travellers who want to see traditional markets and stay at good-value hotels.
Streets in Deira’s older quarters are narrow and one-way, and parking is tight, so it helps to confirm which entrance the driver should use. Hotels on main roads like Al Rigga and Baniyas have easy drop-offs, while those inside the souk areas may need a short walk to a street where a 4×4 can stop.

Good to know in Deira
- In the souks, meet on the nearest main road. Old-quarter lanes are narrow and often one-way. We pick a nearby main street where the driver can stop.
- Allow for Creek crossing traffic. Roads around the Creek crossings slow in the late afternoon, so be ready as soon as your window opens.
- Say which hotel entrance you will use. Larger hotels have several doors. Tell us which one, or share a map pin.
- Coming from a day at the markets?. Finish shopping by about 2:30 PM so you can freshen up and leave bags in your room.
